With the assistance of Barbara and Phyllis, (THANK YOU), I have determined that Joanna Gill White and her family were still living in Decatur Co., TN in 1880. A daughter, not shown, has probably gotten married. I would like to correspond with descendants of this family. There were several White families living in the northeast quarter of Hardin Co. in the 1850's. Most of them appear to have arrived here form Bertie Co., NC. Some of the Whites form the Cerro Gordo area moved across the Tennessee River to Saltillo and into Decatur Co. The particular White family I am chasing, first lived at Flat Gap near Olive hill in Hardin Co., moved to Clifton in Wayne Co., and then to Decaturville in Decatur Co.
