    3. Bettye, Go to the Tennessee State Library and Archives website, then to the genealogy section, and you will find information on ordering records. It is $ 20.00 for those of us who live out of state, but only $10.00 for Tennessee taxpayers. For the Military Land Grants you need the number from the index and some other info. If you do not have a copy of the Historian, I will be glad to give you the info. JaneA self-appointed family historian and proud of it. 3. Jane, Until 1823, McNairy was part of Hardin County, or the Western District. The Tennessee Valley Divide runs north and south through McNairy Co., running near Purdy. Most everything west of Purdy in McNairy Co. flows into the Hatchie River which begins in Mississippi, runs north through Bolivar then west between Brownsville and Covington and continues all the way to the Mississippi River. I found Thomas Henderson living in McNairy County in 1830, nothing on the others. 3. To receive the Hardin County Historian you simply need to join the Hardin County Historical Society. The dues are $ 20.00 and there are two publications a year for the Historian. The Society's address is P. O. Box 1012, Savannah, Tennessee 38372. In my opinion it is a well-spent $20.00. Jane A self-appointed family historian and proud of it. This appears to be in the neighborhood of Nixon and Pyburns? 2. Combs Store, 1837-45. I believe this to be Crump? 3. Lilly, 1834-35. Cherryville, 1833 then Loweryville, 1836. 4. 3. James Gant married R. T. (Ruth Tennessee) Bishop, license: 12 Jan. 1880, marriage: 13 Jan. 1880. Riley Patterson, J. P. Tennessee Bishop was the daughter of my g/grandmother, Easter Caroline Alexander Cagle. Gant, Bishop and Patterson probably lived on Smith Fork Creek near Olive Hill at the time. The above statement is incorrect. Tennessee Bishop was the daughter of Evaline Alexander Bishop who later married Jacob Vanbibber. Evaline was the sister of my g/grandmother Easter Caroline Alexander Cagle. 3. Carolyn, Alexander A. Ross married Lucinda Bishop, 01 Feb. 1866. I. C. McCasland was the J. P. which means that the marriage was in my neighborhood here in the northeast part of the county. I. H. McCasland married M. C. Bishop, issued: 28 Nov. 1867, married: 04 Dec. 1867. I. C. McCasland was also the J. P. for that marriage. J. Q. Bishop married Axie Rice, license: 26 Sept. 1878, Marriage: 07 Oct. 1878. James Gant married R. T. (Ruth Tennessee) Bishop, license: 12 Jan. 1880, marriage: 13 Jan. 1880. Riley Patterson, J. P.
