Spelling of names, along with alternate spellings, are as they appear on the Muster Rolls. Succeeding entries are: rank at enlistment, company assigned, age at enlistment, date enlisted and where enlisted. All enlistments were for three years, unless otherwise noted. The regiment was mustered into Federal Service on 9 Dec 61 at Calhoun, Kentucky. Hospitalizations, wounds, transfers, promotions and other information are also included. The regiment was mustered out of Federal Service 14-17 Dec 64 at Bowling Green, Kentucky. To all of you who have sent me queries since last Friday, 9-11-98, I will answer you as soon as I can, but it may take a day or two. I received A LOT of queries, but I'll answer each one. Also, over the weekend, I went over each page of the Goodspeed publication and found that over 250 name listings were MISSING from the index. So as soon as I can get them organized in a typed list, I'll submit them to you. New items: 1830 Wayne County, TN census transcription Updated items: The Ancestor Researcher Database is now posted through "M". If you are looking for Martins, check out the database in the "M" page. And for all of you who have been so patient, I have the queries received since 8 August posted. The Surnames list has also been updated More to come later. Edgar Edgar D.
