Marge - "My" Kyle is the widower of one of Clay Allison's sisters, Susan Elizabeth. His initials were T. B., and from all that I've found - with the great help of several folks in Hardin County, and other places - I believe he moved to Missouri with his children when Susan died in 1866. Susan's tombstone - Allison plot in the Mt. Carmel Methodist Cemetery - reads "wife of Bennet Kyle..." Greetings Hardin, CO. Tennessee Searchers. Our family names are Bishop-Simpson-Gant-Alexander and possibly Curby-Kirby-Kerby from the Cerro Gordo-Olive Hill area between 1850-1920. We have a clue that our grandma, Frances Caroline Simpson Bishop b. 1875, mother's maiden name was Kirby. Frances Caroline Simpson had twin sister's who drowned in a creek accident. Her younger brother, Ben Simpson, moved to TX. We can take our John B. Davis family from Henderson, CO, TN back to the Revolutionary War. David Cagle, I hope you realize how many Searchers appreciate you. Thank you to Sharon Cunningham and Ben Gant and other folks for sharing info. The 1881 Christmas is a great story.
