Hello Mindy, I first want to apologise to all on the list who may not want to read this. Please delete at this point. Mindy I noticed in your note to Susie that you mentioned the town of Saulsbury. My great-great grandfarther and great grandmother were born in Saulsbury and I am trying to get a lead on how to trace them pre-1880. My gg grandfather was John (Jack, J.S) Bunton born c. 1854. He married Sallie Dickerson and they had two children; John Abrahm and Sarah Ida. By 1880 John, Sallie and John had migrated to AR but Sarah was still in Saulsbury living with Isaac Woodruff, Harriet Woodruff and John Woodruff (a son). Ida was listed as Ida Bunting but based on her mother's (Sallie's) death certificate I concluded that since Harriet was her grandmother this was likely to be my Ida. All of that to say, I don't expect that you have any information but if you can lead me to any city directories or records that might have been kept at that time (absent the family bible). I would be truly grateful. I realize based on the number of queries that I receive that you can't possible have information on all of them so I want to say right away that even a post saying I have no ideas is a big help because it has introuduced me to one more serious genealogy (I am a beginner...have been for 15 years...I still have soooo much to learn, I don't think I will ever be a pro..but I am working on it.) Have a super day. Anita
