Hi everyone, Does anyone have any information on a James Williams(b About 1792 in North Carolina d 1863 Malvern, AR) who married Polly (Mary) C. Johnson in Williamson, Co.? They were married Nov 19, 1811. Her birthdate might be in April (the 3rd or 30th).They had 12 children as follows: Henry, Joel, Martha (Patty), Phillip, Rosetta, Nancy C. (b 1820), James Thomas(b 1822), William A.(b 1824), S.B.(b 1826), John Sumner (b 1829), Allen (b 1831), and Susan (b1833). He was a Methodist circuit preacher and left Bolivar, TN for AR in 1850. I believe all of the children were born in Hardeman Co, specifically Bolivar. Mary Cool Johnson was supposedly related to the Lightfoot's of Virginia and Andrew Johnson, the 17th president of the U.S. Her father was Charles JOHNSON.. She might have been called Polly Cool Johnson. The 1850 AR census only lists three children as living with them. Jas. S. Williams, age 58, b. NC. Living in Smith TWP, Dallas Co., dwg 639. household: wife, Mary Williams, age 50, b. VA Nancy C. age 30 Allen, age 19 Susan, age 17 S.B. Williams was married and had his own household. His brother John Sumner was living with them at the time (1850) in Dallas Co., AR. The others (7) must have stayed in Bolivar or elsewhere in TN. Any information would be appreciated.
