Looking for any trace of William P Hampton and his family in Tennessee. William was born Aug 8 1789 in North Carolina. He married Malinda ( maiden name unknown) born about 1792 in Virginia. William and Malinda had seven children but I only have information on two of them. John H Hampton born 1818 in Tennessee and James P Hampton born 1827 in Tennessee. William and his family moved to what is now Dade County Missouri in 1833 and were some of the first settlers there. I have information on William's decendents but have not been able to find his parents or siblings. I would like to find out where in Tennessee William lived and where in Tennessee his sons were born.
