I'm trying to find parents of Nancy Short who was born ca. 1820 in AL/KY/TN. Different censuses list these states. But since her husband (m. ca. 1840) from Hardleman Co., TN I'm betting she at least lived there at one time. They lived just across the state line in Tippah Co., MS. If you should ever see anything on a Nancy Short who married Samuel Kendell Clayton please let me know. I'm sure you know how hard it is to place a woman in a family.
