Hello everyone, I live in Georgia, near Atlanta. My surnames in Hardeman County are FERRELL/FERRILL, ROGERS, and HARRIS. So far, FERRELL is the only one I have spent much time on. My great-great grandfather, Thomas F. FERRELL (1820-1878), married Nancy S. ROGERS (1830-1910) in October of 1853. They are both buried in the New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery. Nancy's parents were Richard ROGERS and Permelia HARRIS. Thomas was born in North Carolina and married Mary SHEARIN there before coming to Hardeman Co. I don't know who his parents are at this point. Thomas and Mary had 3 children that I know of: Asa J.; Mary Elizabeth; and George F. Thomas and Nancy had 10 children according to her Civil War widow's pension application, 6 of which were still living in 1905: Richard Franklin (my great-grandfather); William C.; Sarah C.; Robert Monroe; Sophronia F.; and Margaret Alice.
