Hello, I am the administrator for the new SW Tennessee mailing list, covering the Counties of Hardin, Wayne(okay, I know Wayne isn't in the SW corner but it just seems to go with Hardin County)(BG), Chester, McNairy, Hardeman, Fayette, Shelby & Tipton. My Palmer/Palmore, Swinford and Davis ancestors migrated through and lived in some of these counties and frequently crossed the line over into NW Alabama and moved back and forth. They were very elusive, moving so frequently, changing their names and starting over every time they made a change in location. Since they were my brick wall and hearing from others who have the same problem, I decided to begin 2 lists...one for SW TN and one for NW AL to see if it would be helpful for many trying to corral their own.
