I am looking for any information on the Glidewell family in and around Hardeman county .

William W. Glidewell married Jane Elizabeth Cozby on Sept. 28, 1851, in Hardeman Co., TN. The license was issued 10 Sept., 1851. The 1860 TN Census indicated that William and Jane had 2 sons, James, b. abt. 1852, and John, b. abt. 1954. Jane Elizabeth was a daughter of John P. Cozby and Nancy Jane Norton who were married 3 Mar., 1825, Hardeman Co., TN. Hardeman Co., TN Deed Bk. T, p. 306 recorded a power of attorney from W. W. Glidewell and wife Jane E. Glidewell to Abijah Brook Crain to act in behalf of the Glidewells in dispersing the estate John P. Cozby. At that time the William Glidewells lived in Madison Co., TN. I have not found a William W. in my list so far. I have a William Mark Glidewell born in 1777 in VA. and he died 7 December 1839 in Lauderdale county in TN. He was married to Elizabeth Jane Johnson and their children are Jessie b.1813 d. 1886 Nash b. 1820 d. ? Nancy b. 1822 d. 1904 Robert b. 1825 d. 1873-74 (my G.G.Grandfather) Nineviah b. 1828 d. ? Somewhere down the line I have a James with no name, no dates and no spouse. I can't tell where he came from but, I have his children as John b. 1878 d. ? Mcdaniel (Mack) b. 1887 d. 1966 Mack married Ida King. Does any of this sound familiar to you?
