Augustus's mother Hannah Parkes? was left a widow with one small child and one unborn child (Gus) during the Revolution, and when she was elderly, her older son, Jonathan tried to get what was coming to her as Jonathan Sr.'s widow. They found that Jonathan Sr's brother had claimed land in Jonathan's name, so she was left out. Augustus was in Hardeman Co in 1850 and died before 1860.
