    3. Hi Sean, If you have access to the Hardeman County Index of Wills, Administrations and Orphan's Court, I would appreciate help with the following ancestors: Thomas SUGGETT or SUGGITT, died in Hardeman Co. ca. 1838. His wife, Lucy (Bishop) Suggett, predeceased him ca. 1831. I do not know if Thomas remarried. There would have been several minor children at the time of Thomas' death, therefore there should be a record in orphan's court. William COATES or COATS, died in Hardeman Co., July 11, 1846, widow's name, Mary "Polly" (Crews) Coates. Buried New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Thompson Crews COATES, died in Hardeman Co., between 1855-1860, widow's name Amanda Lucretia (Suggett) COATES. At least 2 minor children, Lucie Ella and Thomas Calvin. 3. They were in taken in the same Census 1850 at two places, during that time frame that is some time done. This is the same son and Mother Susan T. Cooper!!! the time frame was that they may have been visiting other family that happened back then. She lived with her Step mother Elizabeth and brother Harmon in Mine Creek. They were the same woman and she married Issac Perkins and then Nathan Yarborough. Was Susan T. (Bishop) Cooper living in Virginia in the 1830 Census, they are living in Brunswick Co., VA. She was married in Hardeman Co., TN in 1833 and then her son was born in 1834. I know that the husband is William D. Cooper and they married Hardeman Co., TN in 1833 and that the son was born in John James Cooper was born the falling year 1834. I am trying to find the Husband death. He may have died at least a year before the Susan T. Cooper marriage. So I have been looking for how the families traveled doing those time frames. Where the women stayed in as the area of Union Co. Arkansas was being clear. Robert Black was in charge of this area at one time. He family stay in the area of Union Parish, LA. But during that time frame where did the Bishop and Cooper lines stay. Also I am not sure of Susan T. parents I have seen the name as Asa Bishop too. 3. To Rose and others researching Susan T. (BISHOP) COOPER in Hempstead Co., AR and Hardeman Co., TN, Hi, this is Betty Clingman again. We exchanged emails several weeks ago. I think we need to establish who Susan T. COOPER was. In rechecking the 1850 Census of Hempstead County, AR, I found TWO listings for women by the name of Susan T. COOPER. One appears on the last page of the Mine Creek Township census in the household headed by Harmon BISHOP. The other appears on the last page of the Bois D'Arc Township as head-of-household with her young son. The two listings seem a little suspect because both Susan T. COOPERs were the same age, 40, and both had a son, John J. COOPER, age 16. That seems like an awfully big coincidence to me. Is it possible the same person was counted in two different townships? On the chance that there really were two women by that name living in Hempstead County, AR in 1850, do we know for sure which one married Isaac PERKINS in 1851 and Nathan YARBOROUGH/YARBROUGH in 1855? Was it the Susan T. COOPER in Mine Creek Twp. or the Susan T. COOPER in Bois D'Arc Twp.? You mention that your Susan T. COOPER was the daughter of Asa BISHOP. Are you positive about that information? If so, yours and mine are not the same Susan T. COOPER. It is my belief that the Susan T. COOPER who appears in the 1850 Mine Creek Twp., Hempstead Co., AR census was living in the home of her younger brother Harmon BISHOP and that both Susan and Harmon were children of John BISHOP and Elizabeth Keene JONES. Another brother, William BISHOP is also living in the same household in 1850, as was the widowed mother, Elizabeth Keene (Jones) BISHOP. Elizabeth, as well has her children, Harmon, Susan and William, all were born in Brunswick Co., VA. At the time of the 1840 Census, all the above except Susan COOPER and her son John were living in Hardeman Co., TN. In the 1830 Census, they are living in Brunswick Co., VA. Two of Elizabeth's other children are in my direct lines, Martha Matthew BISHOP (1793-1879) who married 1. Charles OLDHAM and 2. Robert J. MITCHELL and migrated from VA to Davidson Co. and then Tipton Co., TN and Lucy S. BISHOP (1798-1831) who married Thomas SUGGETT/SUGGITT and migrated to Hardeman Co., TN. Please tell me what you think. Are there two Susan COOPERs?
