My William Moore (born cira 1879 )was the son of David Moore (born cira 1848 ). William married Susan Rivers. David was married to Francis Oswald. At thought I might have discovered who the parents of David were, a William Moore (born cira 1817) also but have not found enough concrete evidence to connect it to David. The elder William was married to a lady named Francis as well, but Francis was significantly younger than William which made it unlikely that she was the father of David.

Through family rememberances, I was told that my grandfather, Granvil Harden ran away from home due to step mother problems. I was told that he lived from awhile with an aunt. The 1880 census for Hardeman CO. Lists John Harden -head. Son Granvil, sister Angeline Dial, and her two children, girls, Emma, and Jenna. It appears that Angeline remarried, as did John. The Sweat family name enters when my now deceased Aunt, remembered her father, Granvil, telling her about the name Sweat. Angeline apparently remarried into the Sweat family, we know of no other aunt that Granvil could have lived with. Would very much appreciate any leads or information. Thank you Roger Hardin

Pat, Thanks for the info. I haven't been researching the SHEARIN family since my line is through Nancy ROGERS, Thomas' second wife. I have done some on Thomas & Mary's children trying to find out more about Thomas, but the little bit I've done hasn't helped much. My next step on Thomas is to see what I can find on him in Warren Co., NC. I may need to research the SHEARINS to find out about Thomas. I appreciate your offer to help this winter and will keep it in mind. Thanks again, Jenwyl
NELL, DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING ON THE ROGERS LINE. MY G-GRANDMOTHER WAS ALMENA ROGERS AND MARRIED THOMAS J CLARK IN HARDERMAN COUNTY IN 1858. I KNOW ALMOST NOTHING ABOUT HER FAMILY. Nell, Thank you so much for the SPARKS lookup. I'm sure this is the family I'm looking for. Sarah is the sister of my great-grandfather Richard Franklin FERRELL, born in Hardeman Co. in 1859 to Thomas FERRELL and Nancy ROGERS. Richard was also in Greene Co., AR in 1910. I believe Thomas came to Hardeman Co. from North Carolina. He was married to Mary SHEARIN before Nancy. Thanks again for the help. Jenwyl
