She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sneedville & was retired from the Hancock County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Greene; father & mother, P. T. & Mary Campbell Livesay; father in law & mother in law, H. Clay & Dollie Buttry Greene. Survivors: son & daughter in law, Richard & Helen Durant Greene of Morganton, NC; daughter & son in law, Diana & Hyle Ferguson of Sneedville; grandchildren, David & Lisa Harrison Ferguson of Tazewell, Tenn., Jeffery & Kim Ramsey Ferguson of Sneedville, Clay & Christy Tilley Greene of Morganton, NC; great grandchildren, Lydia & Abigail Ferguson, Jocelyn Ferguson, Caleb & Chelsea Greene; sisters, Ruth Brewer of Morristown, Katie Shellenbarker of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Lois Reiniche of Knoxville; brothers & sisters in law, Douglas & Pat Livesay of Alcoa, Dennis & Eileen Livesay of Maryville; sister in law, Cecil Greene Turner of Sneedville; several neices & nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 12, 2002 at the First Baptist Church of Sneedville, Rev. Brian Courtney & Rev. Wade Holbrook officiating. Interment in the Livesay & Greene Cemetery, Sneedville. Family will receive friends Monday Nov. 11, 2002 from 3-9 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Sneedville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Nell Greene Memorial Fund at the First Baptist Church of Sneedville. Mrs. Greene will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
