GREENE, NORMAN L., age 56, of Sneedville, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at the Anderson Health Care System in Gray, Tenn. He was a member of Briar Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burkette and Laura Greene; brother, Burkette Greene, Jr.; and sister, Mary Ruth Greene. Survivors include his brothers, Everett Greene of Ellicott City, Md. and James Greene of Hanover, Pa.; sisters, Ina May Dooley of Tazewell, Tenn. and Agnes Johnson of Bean Station, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 11 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2001 at the McNeil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Lawson and Rev. Hugh E. Hopkins officiating. Interment in the Harrison-Burke Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday, June 15, 2001 from 6 to 9 p.m., at the McNeil Funeral Home in Sneedville.
