He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay H. & Mabel Greene; brothers, Byron & Jerry Greene. He was a member of Stoney Gap Baptist Church. He was a member of the Sneedville Masonic Lodge #277. He was a prominent business owner of Greene Supermarket for 47 years. Survivors: wife, Marjorie Trent Greene of Sneedville; children, Sharon & Clarence Johnson of Sneedville, Randy & Lois Greene of Tazewell, Keith Greene of Los Angeles, Calif., Donna & Kenneth Jones of Tazewell, Steve Greene of Sneedville; grandchildren, Mindy & Chad Wallen, Matthew & Jacob Jones, Brittney, Chelsa & Steven Greene; sisters, Anna Greene, Nioata Collins, Vonda Jones; brothers, Wright, Kenneth, Carlin, Luke, Clay & Terry Greene; several nieces & nephews & a host of friends. Funeral services will be conducted 8 p.m. Sunday March 18, 2001 at the Sneedville First Baptist Church. Rev. Wade Holbrook officiating. Interment in the Hamblen Memory Gardens, 10:30 a.m. Monday March 19, 2001. Family will receive friends Sunday March 18, 2001 from 1-8 p.m. at the Sneedville First Baptist Church. She was a life long member of Yellow Branch Baptist Church. She was a retired school teacher from the Hancock County School System. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Tilmon & America Winkler Gregory; brothers, Robert & Hugh Gregory; sisters, Jessie & Edith Gregory. Survivors: sister, Ida Gregory of Sneedville; sister & brother in law, Lillie & Ellis Johnson, Jr. of Sneedville; nieces, Geraldine Campbell & husband, Alan Campbell of Morristown, Katherine Thompson & husband, Johnny Thompson of Morristown; nephews, Samuel Johnson of Sneedville, Gary Johnson & wife, Denise Johnson of Morristown, Billy K.
