    3. From: News Sentinel, Knoxville, Tennessee, Tuesday, April 29, 2003, Page B6. COPE, HERMAN - born December 28, 1931, in Cope Hollow, in Sneedville, Tenn., passed away Saturday, April 26, 2003. He was a driver for Mayes Bus Lines and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by father, William Thomas Cope and mother, Cathie Carpenter Cope and wife, Velma Cope. Survivors: children and spouses, Faye and Barry Garrett, Kathy and Don Stinnett, Bobbie and Johnny Buckner, Carol and Charles Erranton, Rita and Randy Dozier, Patricia and Lindel Scott, Curtis Jones and Debbie and Eddie Hunter; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Special friends, Jaunita and Clarence (Nubbin) Acuff, Bruce Mayes and the employees of Mayes Bus Lines. Funeral service 3 p.m. Tuesday, Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Carl Ray Cope officiating with interment to follow at Jett Cemetery, where military honors will be provided by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
