Hi, I posted earlier but it did not go through. I dont see much activity on this list but decided to post here just in case. I have an online newsletter called "Looking Back" and it deals with four counties; Lee county, Va, Bell County, Ky, Claiborne County & Hancock County, TN. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~lookingback/welcomepage.htm I have started adding the actual census images for the 1930 Hancock County census as well as an index to go with those images. I am adding images and the index as my time allows. I also have county tidbits that might be of interest. I have added images for the 1900 Claiborne county census(no index yet) and the 1930 Lee County, VA census(index to go with). Since Hancock County is a burned county there isnt alot of early records available so I am going to try to put all the census records up (most will be transcribed putting images up is very time consuming) that I can and any other data for this county as I find it. I would like to start a small Hancock county database so if you would like to contribute please do so. I havent figured out the best way to do this but am working on it. I welcome suggestions. there is a site search engine on the Welcome page that will help you search page on the site.
