HI any one researching MELUNGEON LINES? have a Male MOORE marrying a MAYS/MAYES? have you any connections to GRAINGER, CLAIBORNE or KNOX Counties,TENN?, and RAY,MO, & other MO Counties?. i can't find my g-gramps JOHN? JACK MOORE.he left the family,returned after nearly 20 yrs an argument started,he left never heard from again. seems as i research some tell me to try the MELUNGEON connection.my greatgrandparents are JOHN? JACK? & NANCY ANN MAYES MOORE.Nancy was born 1845 in RAY Co.MO. daughter of STERLING & SARAH CARR MAYES. our MOOREs were short and sort of stocky built.1 uncle by my gramps had a strong resemblence to a black man. some say MELUNGEON. i just don't know. anyone with a MOORE & MAYES/MAYS & TOWNSLEY link eme direcr if you want.i have a homepage lots info and surnames. has anyone knowledge of the MELUNGEON aurthor PATTERSON? reason i ask,back in the 1930s my dad & siblings grew up on the KY side of CUMBERLAND GAP,in the saddle just off 25e near MIDDLESBORO,KY. they mined the sand quarry there.they knew a PATTERSON lady that was a writer,she was alone.she was evicted from her house there.was this the same lady? i have on my pages old photos,1 was an aerial photo postcard of PINNACLE mnt.you can barely see houses there.1 was the PATTERSON lady.i don't know which.thank you Ray Moore.Lafayette,IN Researching (this name most wanted: MOORE.)
