    3. From: The Knoxville News-Sentinel, Knoxville, TN, March 20, 2002. CHAMBERS, WILLARD A. - age 90, of Jonesville, Va., passed away Sunday, March 17, 2002. Born Nov. 2, 1911, in Hancock County, Tenn., and a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Jonesville, Va. He attended Tenn. Poly Instate and Vanderbuilt University. His parents, W. M. Chambers and Lavina Chambers of Hancock County preceded him in death. Five brothers, Wright Chambers, Eugene Chambers, Dr. C. C. Chambers, Dr. S. C. Chambers, and Col. John Chambers, and three sisters, Roxie Campbell, Bobbie Nash, Nelia Drager, and one surviving sister, Maude Blackburn. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Johnnie C. (Overton) Chambers; 3 daughters, Judy & husband Harold (Trapp), Sylvia Chambers Pouney, Sharon & husband, Paul (Burton); son, Gary & wife, Marsha Chambers; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements by Province Funeral Home of Jonesville, Va., will be conducted Wednesday, March 20, 2002. Friends received 6-8 p.m. Services following conducted by Rev. Doug Clem and Rev. J. C. Zion. Graveside service Thursday, March 21, at 11 a.m., Ewing Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to the Ewing Cemetery Trust Fund at Farmers and Miners Bank, Pennington Gap, Va., in memory of Mr. Chambers.
