TRENT, WILLIAM "CARL" - age 80, of Sneedville, passed away Monday, February 17, 2003, at the Hancock Manor Nursing Home. He was a member of War Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Dollie Trent; daughter,Clara Marie Trent; brother, Ernest Trent and sister, Pearl Beckler. He was a World War II Veteran. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Elizabeth Trent of Knoxville; daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Bob Miller of Morristown and Dreema and Lynn Lawson of Morristown; grandchildren, Sondra, Billy, Dustin, David and Amanda; great-grandchild, Emily; special friend, Betty Greene of Sneedville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2003, at War Creek Baptist Church, Rev. Allen Payne and Rev. David Luther officiating. Interment in the Holt-Brewer Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 19, 2003, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the McNeil Funeral Home Chapel. McNeil Funeral Home, in Sneedville, in charge of arrangements. -- Richard A.
