Good Afternoon Mayes Researchers: While going through some records I have come to realize I may have an error in my data entry and need to ask for someone to answer a few questions. I have a James Bridges who married Susannah, daughter of William Mayes and Sarah Hunter Mayes. This marriage was 02/24/1798 in Grainger Co., TN. I have a William Smith Mayes, son of Sherrod, who married Susannah Mayes Bridges, daugher of the above Willima and Sarah Mayes. This marriage was 08/31/1800 in Grainger Co., TN. I have the sources of the marriages for Bridges and Mayes as Tennessee Vital Records, Marriages but did not note where. For the Mayes and Mayes marriage I have the Ancestry CD of Tennessee Vital Records, Marriages. Would anyone know which marriage date is correct, and if there were any children born when Susannah was married to James Bridges?
