    3. Thanks, Joyce. That is quite interesting. I have an Elrod family in the Hancock/Hawkins/Claiborne area from about 1800 - 1850. I'm having just a dickens of a time finding *any* Elrod marriage records for the kids though. I'm missing about seven of them: Nancy, Susan, Sarah, Rebecca, John, James, & Madila. Would you check with your TNccths's web designer to see if they could make a page to list some of the resources, like the new Heritage Book, that you have for sale? I did find a few things on Byron Sistler's web site, but there is nothing available for Hancock Co. at all: http://www.mindspring.com/~sistler/tnco5.html Does anyone know of any resources for Hancock Co. marriage prior to about 1850? I think a courthouse fire destroyed the marriage books, but I can't remember for sure what the story was there.
