For those of you who have worked with me on my Ferguson, Chandler and Harris lines I wanted to share this sad news with you. My grandmother, Bobbie Mae Chandler Harris died today at 2:30 PM in TN. She was born and raised in Hancock Co., TN but lived most of her later years in MD. Thanks, Sherry Bobbie Mae Harris Bobbie Mae Harris, 85 years old, of Smithsburg, MD, died Thursday, May 10, 2001, in Knoxville, TN. She had been living with her daughters in TN for the past several months. Born on March 26, 1916, in Sneedville, TN, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Chandler and Ellen Elizabeth Ferguson. Her husband, Charles Lewis Harris preceded her in death on August 26, 1979. Also one infant daughter Mildred Inez Harris preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Jack Harris of Laurel, MD, and Ronald Harris of Newport, TN; three daughters, Argie Harris of Hagerstown, MD, Shirley Williams of East Ridge, TN and Barbara Torbett of New Tazewell, TN; 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Burial will be in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
