Preceded in death by parents, Henley Richard and Nerva Sutton Winkler; and husband, George H. Cook; brothers, Willie and Vester Winkler; sisters, Effie Barnard, and Nora Barnard, Hester Seals, Emma Cope and Oma Cook, Lidie Perkey. Survivors: daughters and sons in law, Pauline and John Lakins of Morristown, Tenn., Lucy and Dick Arnold of Powell, Betty and Jack Brooks of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Debbie Arnold and husband, Ron Gray, David Lakins and wife, Marilyn, Lori and Floyd Brooks, Tammy Sliger and husband, Robert; great grandchildren, Lacey Lakins, Cassie Breeding, Dalton and Cody Brooks and Mason Sliger; special nieces, Anges Bolton and Ruby Johns; several other nieces and nephews. Service 7:30 p.m. Wednesday Mynatt's Chapel. Family and friends will meet 2 p.m. Thursday at Cook Cemetery in Hancock County. Rev. John R. Mays officiating. Family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mynatt's. GREENE, DELCIE REDELL - age 94 passed away Sunday May 27, 2001 at home. She was a member of Arlington Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Andrew and Maude Johnson of Sneedville, Tenn.; husband, Emory J. Greene, Sr.; sisters, Esther Greene, Bonnie Trent, and Jane Frazier. Survivors: son and daughter in law, Emory J. and Esther Greene of Ga.; daughters, Barbara Livingston of Hawkins Co., Janice Johnson of Knoxville; 9 devoted grandchildren, Karen Roberts, Michael Bradford of Fla., Alan Greene and Amy Reuter of Ga., Becky Rech, Kay McDaniels, Anita Owenby, Sandy Bolus and Pam Johnson, all of Knoxville; 13 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; sister in law, Mert Greene of Morristown; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet 11 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for graveside service. Dr. Melvin Faulkner officiating.
