    3. From: The Knoxville News-Sentinel, Knoxville, Tennessee, Monday, July 8, 2002. TRENT, GROVER L. - age 77 of Morristown, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2002 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was formerly of Roane County and a native of Hancock County. Mr. Trent was a retired real estate and insurance agent. He was a member of the Republican Party and Campaign Manager for former Governor Winfield Dunn. Preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Dolly Greene Trent; step son, Dana Parker; 2 step grandchildren, Joe Young and Charles Harrington; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Survivors include his wife, Lois M. Trent; daughters, Ginny Mackenzie, Dover, Tenn., Mary Lee Arms, Arkada, Fla., Rose Appleton, Clarksville, Tenn., Jan Williams and Sharon Myers, Morristown, Shelia Gordon, Huntsville, Ala. and Shannon Porter, Chattanooga, Tenn.; son, Jim Parker, Talbott. He was a devoted grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Monday, 8 p.m. July 8, 2002 at Westside Chapel with Rev. Roy Arms officiating. Graveside services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Bethesda Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
