Charles Smith is found in the Hamilton Co., TN U.S. Census in 1830. He was living most likely in the area of Hamilton County that is on the boarder of Walker Co., GA. The census gives his age as between 50 and 59. There is a female in the household between 30 and 39 and a very young boy (daughter? daughter-in-law?) I have not been able to find any information on Charles Smith before 1830 or after 1830. Living next to him is a James M. Smith, age 20 to 29, and several families away is a Layton Smith 30 to 39, William Smith 30 to 39 and a George Smith 30 to 39. Are they connected to Charles, don't know but would love to know.
