My great-grandmother was Sarah J. Holder Hayes (born 3/22/1867, died 3/30/1951). She and my great-grandfather, Joseph Tedford Hayes (born 1863, died 1939) are buried in Lomenick Cemetery, East Ridge, TN. This is in the Chattanooga area and part of Hamilton County, TN. I do not know anything about their early years. They spent their latter years in Chattanooga near Thatcher Textile Mill. They had a large number of children: Arthur, Sim, Henry(my maternal grandfather), Bert, Grady, Dewey, Ellis, Annie Mae, and Christine.
