Still looking for the ancestors of James M. Smith b. abt 1809 in GA. Yes, another James M. Smith. (Middleton). James was born most likely in Walker Co., GA, though there is not proof. He was living in Hamilton Co., TN in 1830, it is unknown where he was in 1840, and in Walker Co., GA in 1850 and in Randolph Co., AR in 1860. James was married to Susan Wallen before 1830. They were the the parents of the following known children, William, Sally, Mary, Priscilla, Campbell, Nancy, CAroline Catherine, Martha, Tennessee and Henry. In 1830 James M. Smith and female of about same age lived next to a Charles Smith age btw 50 and 59. James might have had a brother Littleton Smith who also lived in Walker Co., GA and migrated to Randolph Co., AR.
