There is a $5 fee for the cost of the research. If the record is not found they will send you a letter and the $5 goes to the cost of the research. If you search a birth record make sure you note Early Chattanooga Birth Records on your request. For a marriage you need to provide the names of the groom and bride, date of marriage (or a five year range to be searched), and County of marriage.
