I am looking for information on the Holmes family who lived in the West View area off East Brainerd Road and Ringgold in Catoosa County, Georgia. John Holmes, and who married a full blooded Native American girl (Cherokee or Creek?) who had several children William (b. 1849, d. 1899), Nancy, and Martha. William Holmes married Mary (Morrison) Holmes and had several children. Augusta (Gussie Holmes) Bryant, Lillian Holmes, Tennessee (Tennie Holmes) Bailey, Laura Holmes, Elizabeth (Lizzy Holmes) Beck, Dennis T. Holmes, Charles Barton (Baldi) Holmes, Harley Holmes, Ida Holmes, Nancy Holmes, Billie Holmes. Most are buried in the West View Cemetery, by 2nd Presbyterian Church on Brainerd Road, Chattanooga.
