    1. [TNHAMILT] Chattanooga-Hamilton Lib email address needed
    2. Bushy Hartman
    3. Hi everyone, I have been trying to get a copy of an article that my greatgrandmother was in that may contain valuable genealogy information. I have tried sending an email to the Chattanooga-Hamilton Libary from their web page. It was returned since I don't have an actual name of someone working there to put in the address. Does anyone have an email address to write to for that Lib. I know I can call but I am out of state and that would be a long distance call during prime time. I just need an email address that works for the library. Also have written the newpaper and their response is below. I am pretty sure she had the interview with the paper when she turned 100 years old on July 31, 1973. I feel confident it is at least within that month. If there is anyone out there who has a SUPER heart of gold I sure would appreciate a look up. I would be more than willing to pay. Also I have written before about finding the school names of when my father lived there from 1922-1940 (?). I realized I could use my computers map program to put in the address which gave me the zip codes. Now with the suggestion Jack in TN sent to me, I will contact the school system and see if they have archives. Once I find out I will let everyone know what I have found. Also, if I found out if you know what Insurance Co. your family used and a policy number they will send you the file on the person. They used insurance policies on delayed birth certificates to verify age. Thanks for any help you can provide it is so greatfully appreciated. You might try the Hamilton County Bicentennial Library at (423) 757-5310 or 1001 Broad St., Chattanooga, TN 37401. I am not sure how much research they will do for you. If you don't have any luck with them, please feel free to contact us again in mid-October and we will see what we can do. Your time span (1970-1973) is pretty broad considering if we have nothing in a clip file, that is microfilm work. We have a staff of 1 and 1/2 which does not allow us the luxury of those types of searches. 3. Bushy, You can send a request to the Chattanooga library with $10 and they will send you a copy of the article. Also, the Tennessee State Archives has Chattanooga newspapers, see http://www.state.tn.us/sos/statelib/pubsvs/paper-c1.htm#Chattanooga Their fee is $5 Try the Family History Library. Their online catalog http://www.familysearch.org/Search/searchcatalog.asp They have a good collection of Hamilton Co/Chattanooga records, including some Chattanooga City Directories. I don't know if they (the Salt Lake City Family History Library) will do a search of their records but you can order microfilm (for about $3) from your nearest Family History Library.
