I am trying to identify the parents, birthplace, etc., of Philip Rains, who appears in the 1850 Mortality Index for Hamilton County as dying of "the fever" at age 21. Does the Index have such information and if so, is there anyone in Hamilton County who might check it for me? I will be glad to pay for a researcher's time. Thanks, David C. Rains
