It has been a while since I posted one of my Smith Queries. Maybe this time will be my lucky time on my most difficult Smith line. James Middleton Smith born about 1809 either in the area of Walker Co., GA or Hamilton Co., TN. He was living in Hamilton Co., TN up until about 1844 when he moved his family to Lookout Mountain, Walker Co., GA or the boundaries changed. By 1860 he has migrated to Randolph Co., AR. James Middleton Smith married Susan Wallen before 1830, and they were the parents of William b. 1830 (possibly married a Margaret). Sally b. 1832, Mary b. 1834, Priscilla b. 1836 (married William M. Stout of Hamilton Co., TN and they also migrated to Randolph Co., AR), Campbell b. 1839 (married Angeline Davis), Nancy b 1840, Caroline Catherine b. 1841, (all of these children were born in Hamilton Co., TN), Martha b 1844, Tennessee b. 1848 (I have some confusion with her marriages, William J Sammons and Robert C. Stout) (all of these children were born in Walker Co., GA) and Henry b. 1859 in Randolph Co., AR. Susan died sometime between 1859 and April of 1863 -- James M. Smith married again to a Mary C. Morris and is living with her in 1870 in Randolph Co., AR. A Littleton M. Smith with wife Bathsheba were living in Walker Co., GA in 1850 and is also living in Randolph Co., AR in 1860 - Littleton and James Middleton might be brothers.
