I am still trying to locate anyone who has come across a SMITH Family who might have a son by the name of James M or Middleton SMITH, and possible a second son by the name of Littleton SMITH in TN, GA. I have not given up, but after 6 years and not a single clue, I am beginning to wonder if I will ever find the parents of James M. SMITH, b. 1809 in TN, most likely in the Walker Co., GA area, but there is no proof of this. He was living in Hamilton Co., TN in 1830 married, no children in the household. Next to him was a Charles SMITH age 50 to 59 -- father????. By 1850 James. M. SMITH is living in Lookout Mountain in Walker Co., GA with his wife Susan (WALLEN) and children, William, Sally, Mary, Priscilla, Campbell, Nancy, Caroline Catherine, Martha, Tennessee. By 1860 this family is in Randolph Co., AR, A little after the 1860 Census Susan must have died, maybe in childbirth to a son Henry, because James M. is now going by Middleton and is married to Mary C. possibly MORRIS and a child Henry is in the family right age for the first marriage and a second son Gilphy SMITH, most likely child of second marriage. Any suggestions or clues would be most appreciated. Kathleen Burnett

Would anyone have information about the poor house in Chattanooga around the early 1900's? Katie Taylor katiehortontaylor@yahoo.com
I am researching the Ogan line and came across Patrick Ogan (age 30) married to Catherine on the 1870 Census. Children were Mary and Ann. Any information on them would be appreciated. Thanks, Doroth
Does anyone know anything at all about this family listed on the 1880 census in Hamilton Co., TN? I think the husband and father was John Wesley Richardson who may have been dead by 1880. The last time I located this family was before Civil War in 1860 census of Cherokee Co., Ala. This family also had children Elias M. (my g-grandfather), Isaac Frank, Cinthia E., and Bayles. Elias is the only one I have ever located after Civil War, so I am elated at the possibility that I may have located them. If Alma Webb is on the Hamilton County List, would you please contact me regarding the photo of Wm. Brimer's tombstone that you submitted to the Hamilton County, TN Genealogical Society. I would appreciate any other information that you might be willing to share about this Brimer/Brymer, or any others. Also, can someone tell me where, in Hamilton County, Wilcox/Wilcoxsen Cemetery is? Thanks, Marjorie
Samuel P. Carson McFall(s) Jr. & Sr. of McMinn County TN 1870 - 1902 These 2 men were my grandfather and great grandfather. I have found data on them in census information from 1870, 1880, reconstructured 1890 and 1900 TN census and my mother listed S. P. C. McFall as her father on her Social Security Application. There is also a Rootsweb World Family Tree, #2979, that shows the family of S. P. C. Sr. with his children. S. P. C. Jr. is listed there. But, unlike the other children, there is nothing shown of his life events. It does indicate that he married a woman whose name is different then my grandmother's. S. P. C. Sr's. children and their marriage partner are: Margaret Magdalene to William Newton STUART, Lillian to (?) BROCK, S. P. C. Jr. to Emily (?), Samantha to Charles E. WOODS, Nicholas H. to Matilda GERALDS, May I. to Hugh Ramsey GRIFFIN, William Edward died by gunshot, Liddie Armintie to Joseph Fred COBBLE, Lula Gracen to Samuel MOSES. I would appreciate any help I can get on learning more about Samuel P. Carson McFall(s) Jr's. life events. Henry mvjw58a@aol.com
