I descend from Susannah Starns who married John Thornsberry in Greene County May 23, 1793. Her brother John Starns was also married to John Thornsberry's sister Elizabeth. The Thornsberrys, as the story is told, were excommunicated from the Quaker Church for marrying out of their faith. Most of the internet sites make her the daughter of Adam Jr. and Susannah Meeks STarns, but they would have been 10 years old when she was born. A few speculate that she is the daughter of Peter and Barbara Jane Starns who was the son of Thomas who was the son of Frederick and Mary Goldman Starns, but I have never seen any documentation or source. I do have a John Thornsberry, a Peter Starns and a John Starns on on Copper Creek in Scott County in the 1815, which lends some credence to the story. I notice you talked about those who came to Greene County, including Thomas, ... is there anything that you have seen or know that would help ! me sort out who Susannah's parents are.
