Julian, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Born in Johnson City, TN, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. Huling and the late Velma Lee Huling. Mrs. Julian was a Baptist, active in music ministry and children's ministries. Survivors include her husband of Sumter; three children, Penelope J. DeCarlo of Roswell, GA, Jennifer J. Yates (Michael D.) of Lexington, and Mark A. Julian (Paulette) of Raleigh, NC; five grandchildren, Erica Leigh Yates, Kyndall Nicole Yates, Evan Michael Yates, Isabella Rose DeCarlo, and Emma Reese Julian; a brother, C.L. Huling of Louisville, KY; and a sister, Charlene Oliveira of Maryville, TN. Services will be private. Memorials may be made to the Medical University of South Carolina Heart Center, 25 Courtenay Drive, Charleston, SC 29425.
