My oldest ancestor in my Pierce family is John Pierce, born 1770 or 1772 in North Carolina. I believe he had a first wife, Mary Fann, and later married a Martha ?. He had five sons, the first being named James Pierce. I believe him to be the son of James Pierce . My John moved from Greene County to Grainger , later to be Campbell County, Tennessee and he died in 1865, after the Civil War. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
