John Howard Sr. who died in 1797 did have a son named John - also my ancestor - who died in Rhea County, Tennessee, in 1819. The latter's wife's first name was Sarah, and her last name is supposed to have been Todd. They also had a son named John, but I don't know his wife's name, or whether they had children.
