Someone recently submitted a post on Smelser family from Greene County, TN. Somehow I accidentally erased the message before I read it. My wife's gg grandmother is Susannah Smelcer Guin that married Patrick M. Guin in Sept. 1850. I haven't researched that family so I was very interested in the post. I believe Susannah's father is Joseph Smelser. There seems to be 2 spellings of Smelcer/Smelser and I don't know if they are two different families.
