Her 1860 census record says Tenn, so I am glad you corrected me on that. I'd be happy to share the story of Elizabeth, her husband David Logan, and their 7 children (4 boys, 3 girls). It was a fascinating piece of research finding them. It also lead me back to Greene Co. where I found the parents. Elizabeth's son Garrett Logan is my great grandfather. All four brothers volunteered to fight for the Union during the Civil War. Garrett was captured at the Battle of Marks Mill Arkansas. He later became an instructor at Rose Polytechnic Insititute in Terrre Haute Indiana. Elizabeth must have been a fair-skinned, red-headed Irish lady because her son Garrett was nicknamed "Red". I think it explains the red hair gene in our family. I can't tell you much more about the other children except dates of birth and nicknames. I do know that one brother, Eli, served with Garrett in the Civil War in the same outfit. There is more to the story of Elizabeth McPheron and David Logan, but space doesn't allow me to tell it. Doug
