Surnames: McFerrin Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ihB.2ACI/838.1271.1377.1937.1958.2027 Message Board Post: Hi Dale Well I'm lost on this one.I have a William Adkins McFerrin born 1835 in Knox co.TN But my William was married to Caroline Matilda Inman/McFerrin and only to her.But His father James Harvey McFerrins daughter Charlotte had a child named William Morgan. Grandfather and his son William A .McFerrin help raise this child.Charlotte died during delivery,father remarried but didn't raise his child.Fathers name was David Morgan.It may be possible that James gave this William the McFerrin name but I just don't know at this point.I have no info on this William,what happened to him except that he was in the household of William A. McFerrin in a census I've seen in Indiana in 1860 I think. Ken
