What has come to light is the Vowell, Vowels/Viles family from VA/ MA/ PA./NY had decendants that came to Tennessee and their names changed to Vailes/Voiles/Voyles. If you check Gerald's research he is citing the 1790 census for John being in Pennsylvania. When John is listed on the 1790 census in The Carolina's. Not all Voyles/Viles/Voiles etc. decend from Jacob from Wales. Not all is well with the lines of James and John Voiles from Wales. Some people have that James Voiles married Ann Fields, and said that he died on the river he didn't James was born James Vowles abt 1752 Stafford County, Virginia, he died 17 Apr 1815 Fauquier County, Virginia married Ann Fields 26 Apr 1781 Fauquier County, Virginia, James Vowles was in the Rev. War There are just as many Voiles/Voyles in Tennessee and Illinois as there are in Georgia and Florida during the same time peroid. And all trying to connect to Jacob There are way too many Samuel's John's Jacobs all about the same age. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
