Your James Oliver, Greene County, Tennessee married to Rachel Falls is of great interest to me. In the 1850 Census Johana Falls was living with them. She is the mother, or so I believe, of Isabella Falls who married John Paxton in Greeneville, Tennessee in 1854. James Oliver is listed as a witness to their wedding. And in subsequent censuses and until she died I believe Johana lived with John and Isabella. I assume she was a widow from her husband Frank. Where in Virginia are the Olivers from? Perhaps it will be a clue as to where in Virginia I can find John Paxton as a young boy. They may have been members of a group that moved from Virginia to Tennessee together.
