    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: WOODS/GAMONS Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ihB.2ACI/4331.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Isaiah was the son of William GAMMONS and Matilda GREGORY of Greene County, Tennesse. He married Susan WOODS at Rogersville, Hawkins County, Tennessee, in 1862. Isaiah enlisted in the 60th Tennessee Mounted Infantry and was captured at the Battle of The Big Black River, near Vicksburg, in 1863. Records state that he died at Fort Delaware and is buried at Finn's Point Cemetery. This is incorrect since he survived the prison camp and he and my g-g-grandmother had four children born after 1870. The people at Finn's Point cannot explain why he is shown as being buried there.
