TN and their ancestors. I came across some info on the Easterly/Oesterli/Oesterlin family from the book "Cocke County Tennessee and its People" that indicates the immigrant ancestor of George Easterly of Greene Co. was Conrad Oesterlen who came to America on the ship Robert and Alice in 1743 with Hans Jerg Oesterlin possibly a brother. The article seems to suggest that Jacob Easterly/Oesterlin age 22 who came to America on the ship Nancy in 1738 was also a brother of Conrad and George as was Hans Michael Easterly/Oesterly age 20 who came to America on the ship Snow Two Sisters also in 1738. In Prof. Hackers's book "Eighteenth Century Register of Emigrants..." he has listed a record of immigration for Jacob Oesterlin for the year 1738 which is almost certainly the one on the ship Nancy. It indicates he emigrated from the village of Blankenloch although he does have a question mark after the name of the village perhaps because of a mispelling. Has anyone checked the church records in this village and surrounding area for baptism records of the Oesterly family? Several families in Shenandoah Co. VA can be traced to this area.
