SInce the courthouse fire of 1876 destroyed most to all of the county's historic records I have had volunteers tell me that they would like to begin a project to gather as much data as possible from surrounding counties and state records that refer to Cocke County. Since I'm usually not dumb I just jumped right on the bandwagon so am now doing my part in asking all of you who would have any Cocke county references/documents in your files to please, please forward those to us for posting at www.tngenweb.org/cocke TIA Joyce Gaston Reece
