I have an Erasmus but his middle initial is not "R"; however, it is doubtful that John Milton BROYLES is the father of your Erasmus since he, John Milton, would have been too young in 1834. When sending queries like this, it is always advisable to provide as much information as possible. (Provided you have such information.) What is usually needed is all dates and places for births, marriages, deaths; known parents, siblings, children, spouses, etc. Sometimes even knowing the surname of a childs spouse will help zero in on the parent. And dates are almost always necessary. The only John Milton BROYLES I have run across is the one I referenced above and his wife was not a RICHARDSON.
