I descend from David Logan Sr.'s daughter named Priscilla Logan who married John Smith. Strangely enough, my family also has that John A. Logan tradition. In fact, my grandmother kept in her possession an original copy of the speeches that were made on the floor of Congress in honor of John A. Logan when he died which was printed in the late 1800's. I have never been able to make a link to him. Nothing even close. The problem is, David Logan, Sr. is a mystery. On the 1880 census, one of his daughter says father born in Kentucky. Another daughter gives father's place of birth as "Ind." or "Ird." this could be either Indiana or Ireland. What did your David Logan Jr. give as father's place of birth in 1880? Please let me hear from you. Where did David Logan, Jr. live? I know that he left Greene County. Doug Jenkins
